Meeting briefs look up the people you meet for the first time, tasks get due dates, and you can react to and reply to messages.

Tana suggests what to do with what was just said in a meeting, Home becomes a timeline of your meetings, and each meeting comes with a brief.
- Live suggestionsDuring a meeting, Tana suggests what to do with what was just said: a task in Tana, an issue in Linear, a message in Slack, or wherever your organization keeps that kind of work. Press the suggestion and Tana drafts it, or pick another tool from the arrow. You can also skip the card and say "Hey Tana, file that as a bug". The draft waits for your approval before anything is sent.
- Home is a timeline of your meetingsHome is a scrollable timeline of your meetings, a day at a time, starting from now. The next meeting is at the top with its join or capture button. Each past meeting lists the proposals and drafts it left for you, and you can respond to each one from its row. Start a meeting or a capture from the top right, and right-click a meeting to pin it or open it in a new tab or panel.
- Meeting briefsUpcoming meetings come with a short brief: what came out of your last meetings with the same people, what each person said they would do, and who's new. Today's meetings on Home show it, and ten minutes before a meeting the desktop app shows it with a "How can I help you prepare?" box. What you type there goes to your private chat for that meeting.

Hey Tana just does it, and a meeting calendar
Saying "Hey Tana" carries out your request without a spoken reply, a Calendar lays out your meetings and what came out of them, and Tana opens on a new Home.
- "Hey Tana" listens and just does itSaying "Hey Tana" used to bring Tana into the call: a voice session opened, you were answered out loud, and the meeting waited. Now the request is heard and carried out with nothing spoken back, so you can ask in the middle of someone else's sentence and the conversation never breaks. To actually talk, ask for it: "Hey Tana, let's talk".
- Calendar: your meetings by day, week or monthYour meetings laid out over time. A meeting that has already happened is not just an entry in the week, it carries what came out of it, so clicking last Tuesday gives you the summary, the outcomes, the proposals still to review and what was pinned. Meetings ahead of you open ready to edit, and you can drag across the calendar to draft one.
- Home replaces TodayTana now opens on Home. Rather than a list of everything, it leads with what is coming up next and the one action that meeting needs, then what recent meetings produced, your tasks, today's pins, and the documents you have been in lately.

Multitasking voice agent, plain-language search
The voice agent works on several requests in the background during a meeting, search turns a plain question into filters, and a search can be saved as a document.
- The voice agent works in the background, on several things at onceAsk the agent for something mid-meeting and it goes off and does it while the conversation carries on: look something up, draft or update a document, find related notes, or act in a tool you've connected. Several requests can be running at the same time. Each is acknowledged as you make it, and the result comes back at a natural pause rather than over whoever is speaking. It also follows more of the meeting than it used to, including the day's agenda and the meeting's pinned items, captured outcomes and shared screen, so there is less to explain before you ask.
- Search understands a plain-language questionTyping something like "meetings with Sarah last week" now turns into filter pills automatically, with a sparkle icon on the search field marking an interpreted query, instead of only matching on keywords. Edit a filter by hand and it becomes your own; the sentence drops away and the filters stay.

Tana notices the meetings you didn't schedule
Tana notices meetings that aren't on your calendar and offers to capture them, you can mention @tana in Slack threads, and a type's fields become columns and filters.
- Tana spots your external meetings and offers to capture themTana now notices when you are in a meeting held somewhere else and offers to capture it, without you starting anything. It listens for meeting-like activity from your microphone and speakers, so it covers calls in the apps it recognizes (Slack, Chrome, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Discord, or a generic browser or call), and it works even when the meeting is on nobody's calendar. A "Meeting in progress" card appears with "Capture Meeting" and "Dismiss". A meeting in a browser tab only prompts when your camera is on too, so music and unrelated tabs stay quiet. Dismissing or stopping a capture stops Tana asking about that meeting again. It is on by default on the desktop app, not Linux, and you can switch it off under "Detect external meetings" in Settings, Preferences.
- Mention @tana in any Slack threadBring Tana into a Slack conversation by mentioning @tana in a thread. It replies in place, keeps a running chat for that thread, and can read earlier messages and shared files, so you can drop in a screenshot or doc and ask follow-up questions. It only sees what each person in the thread can see. If your Slack email doesn't match a Tana account, it replies with a link to pair the two so future mentions resolve to you.
- Attribute columns, filters, and Display menu on typed entriesA type's declared fields now render as columns in its entries table and its workflow board. Member fields render as avatar chips, Link fields render referenced titles, Date and Text fields flatten to text. A pill bar next to the search field filters the list by field value: a people picker for Member fields, a typeahead picker for Link fields (constrained to the field's target types), and a range picker for Date fields. A "Display" dropdown next to the search field toggles individual columns. Active filters live in the URL, so a filtered view is shareable and returning to the panel after opening an entry restores what was filtered. Filter writes replace the history entry rather than stacking, so Back leaves the panel instead of unwinding each tweak.

A pre-meeting hub
Each upcoming meeting opens on one page with what you need before it, you can present a document or canvas in a meeting, and you can pin anything to the sidebar.
- One card for every meeting, before the callOpen any upcoming meeting and its left column is a single event card that holds everything you need before the call: a Join Meeting or Capture Meeting button and an Open in calendar link at the top; the full attendee list grouped by RSVP status (Going, Maybe, Not going, Awaiting reply), with anyone already in the call promoted to an In call group at the top; inline rename and reschedule for organizers; the provider's meeting URL in a copyable field alongside Move to Tana for organizers of a synced Google Meet, Teams, or Zoom event; and Invite and Copy guest link pinned at the foot of the roster. Clicking the meeting title during or after the call reopens the same card, so you can edit inline from any phase.
- Present a document or canvas in a meetingPick a pinned document or canvas and choose Present document from its menu to put it at the center of the meeting as a shared reading or drawing surface. You edit it live while everyone follows along read-only, with your caret or cursor visible so they can glance ahead or drop a note in chat. Followers auto-scroll to stay with you (camera-follow for canvases), with a Follow button if they scroll away and want to catch back up. Guests in the meeting can be given access with one click, so an external attendee can follow the same live document without screen sharing.
- A sidebar you can pin things toThe sidebar is now a flat primary nav with a Pinned section of your own entry points at the bottom. Drop any item onto the sidebar to pin it, drag pins to reorder, drop one onto a section header to file it there, and right-click anywhere to make a new section for related pins. Pins are per-user, so everyone curates their own set. The Library section above it is where all the organization's docs, meetings, tasks, types, chats, agents, people, skills, canvases, and spaces continue to live.

Two-way calendar sync
Events you make in Tana sync to Google Calendar or Outlook, the desktop app can capture Meet, Teams and Zoom meetings through your computer's audio, and guests get their own meeting agent.
- Two-way calendar syncEvents you create and manage in Tana now sync to your connected calendar. Make an event in Tana and it appears in Google Calendar or Outlook moments later, and changes to its title or time, and deleting it, propagate out too. New connections write Tana events to your primary calendar automatically; if you connected a calendar earlier, turn it on by choosing a default calendar to write to in Calendar settings.
- Capture external meetings with system audio (opt-in)On the desktop app, you can now opt into capturing Meet, Teams, and Zoom meetings through your computer's audio. A small always-on-top window appears a couple of minutes before a scheduled meeting so you can start recording in one click, and the Today toolbar has an instant record button for meetings that are not on your calendar. If a teammate is already capturing a meeting, everyone else can see it so it is not recorded twice. It is off by default while it rolls out; turn it on in settings to try it.

- Let the AI schedule calendar eventsThe AI can now propose creating calendar events. It needs a title and a start time, and can also set an end time, time zone, location, description, and participants. Adding participants restricts the event to that list. It still can't change the time, title, attendees, or meeting link of an event that already exists.
- Chat with everyone in guest meetingsGuests can use Chat with everyone to send and read messages in the meeting, alongside your team. To keep your organization's data private, the AI is turned off in the shared chat whenever a guest is present, with a note explaining the pause. Your own private meeting agent is unaffected.

Authorize a server over OAuth and its tools become available to AI chat through a linked skill, so the AI reaches for them only when that skill is in scope. Manage the connection from the skill's panel: refresh the tool catalog and allow or deny individual tools. Your connected servers are private to you.
- A reworked Tasks view: grouping, filters, and quick-addThe Tasks view now groups by type by default, plain tasks first and then each workflow type under a heading that links to its definition. Filter pills for Assigned to, Created by, Type, and Space live in the URL, so a filtered view is bookmarkable and the browser's Back and Forward step through your filters. Every group heading has a "+" that creates a task already matching that group and any active filters. With nothing filtered the view shows your most recent tasks rather than an empty screen, and opening Tasks from the sidebar starts with everything assigned to you.
- Search opens in a popoverThe sidebar "Search" entry opens a popover right where you are, holding the same browse interface: a search field, the filter bar, and the section index when you haven't typed anything yet. Open it from anywhere, including while editing a document, with Cmd+P on macOS or Ctrl+P on Windows and Linux. On iPad and other touch devices it slides up as a bottom sheet that stays clear of the on-screen keyboard.

One button in a meeting creates or captures anything, new workspaces open with a guided welcome session, and documents can hold Mermaid diagrams.

Open it to turn the live discussion into a typed item, choosing the last minute, last two or ten minutes, or the whole meeting. From the same place you can create a doc, canvas, or task for everyone or just yourself, run a summary or item extraction, or run one of your own skills.

Tana turns a finished meeting into proposed items on its own, every item gets a Send to menu, and Browse and Search share one filter bar.
- Outcomes run automatically when everyone leavesOnce everyone has left a call, Tana runs the wrap-up that turns the conversation into proposed items on its own. You no longer have to ask it to extract items. The summary already worked this way, and now both run off the same trigger.
- Send to, one menu for routing any itemEvery item now has a "Send to" menu in its toolbar. From one place you can start a chat about it with Tana, a custom agent, or a teammate, run a skill or integration, pin it to a meeting, copy its link, or export it as Markdown.
