NewConnect your own MCP servers. Connect your own remote MCP servers to Tana from Settings, Custom MCP servers. Authorize a server over OAuth and its tools become available to AI chat through a linked skill, so the AI reaches for them only when that skill is in scope. Manage the connection from the skill's panel: refresh the tool catalog and allow or deny individual tools. Your connected servers are private to you.
NewBrowse everything from the Library. The Library now lists each kind of thing in its own section: Spaces, Meetings, Tasks, Types, Chats, Agents, People, Skills, Canvases, Docs, and Media. Each section shows a preview with a "See all" link into a dedicated page for that category, and empty sections hide themselves. Every section page has its own search field and a "Library" breadcrumb to step back out. Space home uses the same index, scoped to that space.
NewSearch opens in a popover. The sidebar "Search" entry opens a popover right where you are, holding the same browse interface: a search field, the filter bar, and the section index when you haven't typed anything yet. Open it from anywhere, including while editing a document, with Cmd+P on macOS or Ctrl+P on Windows and Linux. On iPad and other touch devices it slides up as a bottom sheet that stays clear of the on-screen keyboard.
NewFilter by who can see an item. The filter bar in the Library, Space home, and search gains a "Visibility" filter to narrow by who can see an item: "Private to me", "Shared with me", "Restricted", "Open", or "Anyone with the link" for items shared by link.
NewReopen an archived type. Settings has a "Recently archived" list under Organization showing every type you've archived, newest first, with how long ago. Open any row to see that type, then choose "Unarchive" to bring it back.
NewOpen a video in its own player. Opening a video item now plays it in a dedicated player panel with the usual toolbar, back navigation, title, and access controls, rather than a generic view. Uploads in progress and failed uploads show their state in the player area.
ImprovedA reworked Tasks view: grouping, filters, and quick-add. The Tasks view now groups by type by default, plain tasks first and then each workflow type under a heading that links to its definition. Filter pills for Assigned to, Created by, Type, and Space live in the URL, so a filtered view is bookmarkable and the browser's Back and Forward step through your filters. Every group heading has a "+" that creates a task already matching that group and any active filters. With nothing filtered the view shows your most recent tasks rather than an empty screen, and opening Tasks from the sidebar starts with everything assigned to you.
ImprovedSee where any item lives. The location button on every panel toolbar shows which Library section an item belongs to, like "Meetings" for an event, "Docs" for a text doc, or "Tasks" for a task, and links straight to that section. Items that live in a space still show the space. Right-click it to move the item somewhere else.
ImprovedSet a meeting outcome's state or assignee without opening it. Outcome and pinned-item tiles on the meeting surface show a state control before the title and an assignee control in the corner for any item that carries a workflow state, not just plain tasks but typed items like a Bug, so you can move one to "In Progress" or hand it to a teammate right from the meeting.
ImprovedMeetings preview leads with recent meetings. The Meetings section on your Library and Space home leads with recent meetings, with a header dropdown to switch the window between Recent, Upcoming, Today, and Past.
ImprovedA title chip when you scroll a panel. As you scroll down any panel, whether a doc, canvas, chat, or meeting, a compact title chip appears in the toolbar with the item's icon and type. Click it to jump back to the top.
ImprovedCopy a long prompt when a coding tool can't take it all. When the AI hands you an "Open in Cursor", "Open in Codex", or similar button and the prompt is too long for that tool's link, Tana shows a note and a "Copy full prompt" button so you can paste the complete prompt yourself. The shortened link is still there as a secondary action.
ImprovedA clear prompt to reload when a proposal needs a newer Tana. When a proposal was made by a newer version of Tana than the one you're running, its card shows a clear message with a "Reload" button instead of failing quietly. "Accept all" shows the same message where it reaches one of these proposals.
ImprovedMove through proposals as you review them. The proposal review popover has previous and next chevrons to step through everything pending. Discarding one advances you to the next instead of leaving you on a card that is already gone, and the popover closes once nothing is left to review.
ImprovedUpcoming meetings sorted soonest first. The Upcoming list in the meetings Library shows the next meetings soonest first.
FixedGuest screen shares are captured into the meeting. Fixed an issue where guest screen shares weren't being captured in Tana-hosted meetings. Now a guest's shared screen is captured into the meeting's screenshots like any other participant's, so it shows up in the live record, the digest, and the post-meeting summary, and can be included in extracted outcomes.
FixedDictation keeps your last words. Dictating a message and sending the moment you stop speaking no longer drops the final words. The tail of what you said is included in the message instead of being lost or arriving as a stray follow-up.
FixedA clear message for meetings you can't open. Opening a meeting link you don't have access to shows a clear "Access denied" message, or a "not found" message when the event was deleted, instead of a blank "Untitled event" frame.
FixedShort captured meetings keep everything. Capturing an external meeting no longer drops transcript lines, screenshots, or participant updates that arrive right after capture starts, and even very short captured calls wrap up reliably.
FixedRemoving an upload actually stops it. Removing an image, audio, or file from a message while it's still uploading cancels the upload instead of letting it finish in the background. Leaving the chat mid-upload cancels it too.
FixedTranscription spells your team's names right. Meeting transcription and dictation now lean on your organization's name and your teammates' names, so "Tana" and the people in the room are spelled correctly instead of guessed.
FixedCapture any outcome type from the meeting. Picking a less common type from the search box in a meeting's create menu now extracts content from the conversation, the same as the recommended type chips, instead of opening an empty typed doc. Typing in that search box also keeps focus.
FixedMeeting tasks land on the right person. Tasks extracted from a meeting are assigned only when the conversation clearly points to a specific teammate; when it's ambiguous, the task is created unassigned instead of guessing at a name from your organization. A single outcome can also carry more than one assignee when the discussion hands it to several people.
FixedA new task's image finishes processing. A screenshot captured during a call and dropped into a freshly created task no longer hangs on "Processing…". The image appears once the task is approved.
