Does it use my Claude usage limits?
Yes. Claude runs on your own account, so what it does in a meeting counts toward your Claude plan, the same as using Claude anywhere else.
Do I need the Claude desktop app?
Yes. Tana talks to Claude through the desktop app, signed in as you. Every plan works.
What does Tana send to Claude, and where is it processed?

Do my Claude Team or Enterprise admin settings still apply?
Yes. Claude runs as you, so your admin’s connector and policy settings apply unchanged.
Can my teammates bring a different agent to the same call?
Yes. One person’s Claude, another’s ChatGPT, in the same meeting.
What’s the difference between Claude and Claude Code in a meeting?
Claude answers and works in your connected tools during the call. Claude Code works in your code: point it at a repo and it drafts the fix while the bug is still being described.
Can the other people in the call see what I ask Claude?
No. Only you see what you ask and what Claude answers. Post an answer to the room in one click when you want everyone to see it.
Does a bot join my calls?
No. Tana runs on your computer and captures the call locally. Nothing appears in the participant list on Zoom, Teams or Google Meet, and no bot joins on your behalf.
Does it work in Zoom, Google Meet and Teams?
Yes. Tana listens from the desktop app during Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls, and you can also host the call in Tana itself.
Is my meeting data used to train AI?
Tana never trains AI models on your meeting data. What you send your own Claude follows your Claude account’s data settings. See the privacy page for how Tana handles your data.
