Goals that stick

The Goals template helps you define meaningful goals and stay connected to them over time. Voice-enabled for natural goal capture, with an AI agent to check in on progress, refine obstacle plans, and find your next action.

Inspired by science

This template is lightly inspired by WOOP, a research-backed framework developed by psychologist Gabriele Oettingen. The key insight: imagining success alone doesn't drive action. Pairing a vivid outcome with obstacles and concrete if-then plans does. Learn more

Why most goals fail

Positive thinking feels good but creates no urgency to act. Goals written as vague intentions ("get healthier," "be more productive") have nothing to push against. This template asks you to picture success vividly, then immediately confront what might get in the way. That contrast creates the energy to move.

Obstacles become plans

The difference between a wish and a goal is knowing what will get in the way and having a response ready. For each obstacle, you create a simple if-then plan: "If I feel too tired to run, then I'll do a 10-minute walk instead." These aren't backup plans. They're how you stay in motion when reality hits.

Stay in relationship with your goals

Goals aren't set-and-forget. The built-in Goal agent lets you check in anytime: reflect on progress, work through new obstacles, refine your plans, or find a concrete next action. Your goals become living documents you return to, not entries collecting dust.

How to use

  1. Create a new node and apply the #Goal supertag.
  2. Voice capture: Talk through your goal via voice. And use voice chat to have AI guide you through what you want to achieve, what success looks like, and what might get in the way.
  3. AI will autofill title, description, outcome, and obstacles based on your conversation.
  4. Or, write directly into the fields if you prefer.
  5. To check in, refine or reflect on a goal, start a voice chat with the goal, or AI chat with the Goal agent. The AI knows your goal, outcome, and obstacle plans. You can of course also reflect by writing directly within the goal node over time.
  6. Click the #Goal supertag to see all your goals in one place.
