Frontend Engineer
We’re hiring a Frontend Engineer to help build a new kind of AI-native collaboration platform for SW/Product teams. Full-time employment or individual contractors (no agencies please)
This role is for people who are deeply into frontend engineering: architecture, state models, interaction systems, performance, and the future of how code is written with AI.
You: You’re passionate about frontend development as a craft. You might have an online presence (GitHub, blog posts, talks, experiments) where you explore frontend architecture, React patterns, tooling, or new ways of building for the web. You're excited about the future of agentic coding: AI-assisted development, code generation, refactoring agents, and human-AI collaboration as a first-class part of the engineering workflow. You actively experiment here and want to push it further.

What you’ll be doing
- Build the collaboration tool you’ve always wanted to use. It's the kind of tool frontend engineers tend to mentally redesign while using existing products. You’ll shape interactions, workflows, and system behavior based on first-principles thinking, not legacy constraints, and turn long-standing frustrations with collaboration software into something cleaner, faster, and more intentional.
- Push AI-assisted development forward You’ll actively experiment with agentic coding workflows: using AI for generation, refactoring, reasoning, and navigation, while being rigorous about correctness and intent.
- Own frontend architecture and patterns You’ll help define and refine how we structure components, hooks, state, and APIs, favoring explicit types, small composable units, and predictable behavior.
- Design systems through code, not abstractions You’ll build reusable primitives with clear contracts, strong typing, and constrained flexibility rather than leaky or over-generic components.
- Continuously improve how we build You’ll influence tooling, conventions, and internal principles to keep the codebase fast to work in as it scales.
Skills you have
- Clear interest and hands-on experience with AI-assisted / agentic development.
- Strong experience building complex, stateful web applications in React (or similar).
- Deep understanding of modern frontend fundamentals: rendering, state, effects, performance, and browser behavior.
- High fluency with TypeScript and a bias toward types as the primary correctness tool.
- Love designing APIs for components and hooks that others will build on.

This is a full-time position, and we are looking for candidates who can work from Oslo, or are in CET ± 3 hours and willing to regularly travel to work with the product team in Oslo.
