Decision

The call, and the reasoning behind it

A Decision captures a specific choice that was made - the option that was settled on, who weighed in, and the alternatives that were considered and set aside. It differs from an action item (which tracks work to be done) and from a note or open question (which stays unresolved): a Decision records a resolved judgment and preserves the reasoning and options behind it so it can be revisited later.
